KONA 1 - Single-Channel 3G-SDI 2K/HD 60p I/O Card

KONA 1 is a robust and cost-efficient single-channel 3G-SDI 2K/HD 60p I/O card designed for broadcast, post-production, ProAV, and OEM developers. It offers serial control, reference/LTC, and even HDR over SDI. KONA 1 supports various applications, including those from AJA, Adobe, Avid, Apple, OBS Project, Telestream, and more, along with AJA SDK support. It enables simultaneous monitoring during capture (pass-through) and includes full-size SDI ports, embedded 16-channel SDI audio in/out, Genlock with reference/LTC input, and RS-422 support.

HDR Support

HDR (High Dynamic Range) provides the ability to display a wider and richer range of colors, much brighter whites, and much deeper, darker blacks than standard signals allow, delivering a more dynamic look and natural true-to-life colors to your audience. HDR workflows benefit from AJA's Control Room application and its companion, AJA Control Panel, which includes built-in HDR test patterns. AJA Control Room provides VPID signaling for SDR/HDR Transfer Characteristics, Colorimetry, and Luminance transfer characteristics over SDI, offering flexible output options for your AJA device. HDR Auto Playback Detection is also supported, automatically setting the HDR format on the monitor connected to the SDI output based on embedded HDR metadata in recorded .mov files.
