Sony's Pre-Formatted Professional Disc recording media is a 5 inch (12cm) rewritable optical disc capable of recording 100GB (triple layers). By achieving a track pitch of 0.32 μm, with state-of-the-art manufacturing technology and by utilizing blue-laser technology, the disc media can attain high density recording more than 20 times (100GB) than that of a DVD (4.7GB) using red-laser technology. This makes the Sony Professianl Disc ideal for archiving and deliveries. It is a rugged and reliable HD media for day-to-day broadcasting, designed for exceptional performance in tough conditions with advanced Hard Coat technology and a durable cartridge.
