The Haivision Makito X HEVC Decoder receives single- or dual-channel HD digital video over IP and outputs to 3G-SDI and HDMI interfaces, supporting all HD standards up to 1080p60.
The Makito X HEVC Decoder offers support for both HEVC & H.264, providing maximum flexibility for today's workflows. Compatible with a wide range of Haivision products including the Makito X and Makito X4 Encoder, the Makito X HEVC Decoder is a highly versatile component of any low-latency video workflow.
HEVC & H.264 DECODING
Broadcast-Quality Video
The Makito X HEVC Decoder decodes H.264 and HEVC streams with up to 4:2:2 chroma sub-sampling and 10-bit dynamic ranges.
With HEVC, the Makito X HEVC Decoder allows you to reduce bandwidth requirements by up to 50%, while maintaining video quality when compared to H.264. With best in class low-latency capabilities, the Makito X HEVC Decoder supports the most demanding broadcast, defense and enterprise applications.
REMOTE PRODUCTION WITH STREAM SYNC
Haivision's Stream Sync makes it easy to synchronize your incoming encoded video sources, enabling broadcast engineers and producers to receive multiple live video and audio streams from a remote venue while maintaining sync for immediate use in live production workflows.
Stream Sync for the Makito X series ensures seamless remote production by preventing issues when switching between multiple live video and audio sources, as well as providing a cost-effective alternative to deploying large teams of personnel & resources at remote event locations.
HIGH DENSITY OPTIONS
The Makito X HEVC decoder is available as a compact standalone appliance or can be placed in a 6-slot single rack unit (RU) rack mount chassis or a 21-slot 4RU chassis, decoding up to 20 channels in a single rack unit.
You can mix and match any combination of the Makito X blades including encoders and decoders within these high-density chassis.
