Avid Huddle is a new SaaS solution that empowers creative teams to collaborate more efficiently from anywhere on any device with familiar tools. It provides secure project viewing for review of high-quality video content, simulating an in-person content review and approval experience. Teams can review, discuss, and comment on content as if they were working in the same room. Editors can stream Media Composer (Ultimate or Enterprise) timeline content to one or more collaborators by launching a Microsoft Teams session directly within Media Composer (Ultimate or Enterprise) or Avid | Edit On Demand. Avid Huddle greatly accelerates and simplifies content review and approval in a collaborative virtual environment.

Challenges in Postproduction

Reviewing video content during postproduction can be challenging when the creative team is spread out across multiple locations. Sending content to various stakeholders to individually review and respond with notes is inefficient and time-consuming. Current video collaboration platforms do not support real-time review of high-quality content in a secure way and must be run outside of the Media Composer/Edit on Demand user experience.

It provides secure project viewing for review of high-quality video content and enables you to send Secure Reliable Transport (SRT) live streams of your Media Composer output directly into Microsoft Teams. This remote “over-the-shoulder” (OTS) view of your work in Media Composer gives your production team the capability to share works-in-progress and give real-time feedback in a familiar, collaborative environment.
