The Lindy Cat.6A USB Type C HDBaseT 3.0 Extender is a professional solution for extending high-quality USB-C video and data signals over long distances using a single Cat.6A network cable. Based on HDBaseT 3.0 technology, it enables reliable point-to-point transmission for meeting rooms, classrooms, control rooms, digital signage and professional AV installations.

The extender supports DisplayPort Alternate Mode via USB Type C, allowing compatible laptops, PCs and other USB-C sources to be connected to remote USB-C displays or touchscreens. It supports resolutions up to 4K Ultra HD at 60Hz with 4:4:4 colour, as well as HDR for improved contrast, brightness and colour depth.

When used with high-quality Cat.6A or higher U/UTP or F/UTP cable, the following distance and resolution combinations are supported: up to 70m at 3840x2160@60Hz 4:4:4 8bit or 4:2:2 12bit, and up to 100m at 3840x2160@30Hz 4:4:4 8bit or 4:2:2 12bit.

The USB Type C charging port on the transmitter supports Power Delivery up to 100W when connected to an external power supply, allowing a compatible laptop or USB-C source device to be charged while transmitting video and data. Additional USB 2.0 device ports on both the transmitter and receiver make the extender suitable for touchscreens, cameras, keyboards, mice and other USB peripherals.

PoC, or Power over Cable, provides additional installation flexibility by allowing power to be supplied together with data over the Cat.6A cable between the transmitter and receiver. This means only one power supply is required at one side of the installation. The PoC function can be switched on or off as required.

The unit can be controlled via RS-232 or the USB Type C service port, with support for API commands, EDID management, user-defined settings and an integrated pattern generator. The receiver also supports USB Type C DP Alt Mode to video converters, allowing connection to HDMI or DisplayPort displays when required.
