The Lindy HDMI® 18G Signal Generator & Display Emulator is an essential tool for AV installers and system integrators who need to test, verify or emulate HDMI® signals. With its extremely compact and portable design, it is easy to add to any installer’s test kit and is ideal for on-site troubleshooting in both small home setups and large-scale professional AV installations.

The device supports HDMI® 2.0 with bandwidth up to 18Gbps and resolutions up to 3840 x 2160 @ 60Hz 4:4:4 8-bit. Four fixed HDMI® EDID resolutions can be selected using the EDID button: 4K60 4:4:4, 4K60 4:2:0, 4K30 4:4:4 or 1080p60.

When connected as a display emulator, the unit can detect HDCP content and signal status, including 5V and TMDS. Four test patterns display HDCP status, while LED indicators help the user select the desired setting. No software or additional HDMI cables are required, as the device connects directly to a source or display using its HDMI® male connectors.

The unit is powered by the HDMI® source when used as a display emulator. When used as a signal generator, an external USB power supply is required via USB Micro-B.
