HDBaseT is a professional technology for transporting uncompressed ultra-high-definition AV signals over distances of up to 100 metres using a single standard network cable. Depending on the device and HDBaseT version, the technology supports applications such as 4K video, audio, USB, Ethernet, control and power, with very low latency. Newer HDBaseT 3.0 solutions offer additional capabilities for demanding installations, including 4K60 signals, USB connectivity and Power over Cable.

One of the key advantages of HDBaseT is the ability to combine multiple signals over a single Category cable. Thanks to the well-known 5Play feature set, video, audio, USB 2.0, Ethernet, control and power can be transmitted together over one cable. This makes HDBaseT extenders particularly suitable for professional AV installations, meeting rooms, classrooms, control rooms and digital signage.
